RAMAYANA


Ramayana’s elements of story:
Setting: Ramayana took place at the Kingdom of Ayodhya.
Plot:  Rama was born in the Kingdom of Ayodhya, he was the reincarnated soul of Vishnu. Because of the king’s weak body, he wants Rama to rule the kingdom but one of His Brother’s mother was not happy of that decision. For this reason, Rama was gone away from the kingdom, for he believes that it is his father’s will. There he has found Sita, who became his wife.  On their way to every places, they have encountered the evils of Ravana, which tries to defeat Rama. They were a failure to Rama’s magical powers, they all vanished. One day, Ravana has captured Sita, and brought her to the Kingdom of Lanka. Rama was desperate in search for Sita, until one day the Brother of Ravana came to him and asked to surrender Sita to Rama, for he believes they could not defeat this creation, which is the reincarnation of Vishnu. He approached Rama for he wants to join force with him. Rama was glad about it. They have planned for the attack for Ravana. All ready for Sita’s rescue, they have entered the kingdom of Lanka, there the war stood for two days. With great strength, Rama has defeated Ravana, and He and Sita went back to Ayodhya. People were unhappy to see Sita as Rama’s wife; the man gets upset upon this bad news. As the king, he asked sita to go away and go back to the forest. Sita went away; there she has found Valmiki, a poet. She bears her twin son at that forest. Long time has passed, the two boys have grown, and they went to the kingdom of ayodhya to see Rama. They have faced the King and gave him a poem which was made by valmiki for him. The king were too glad to hear it and have cried to realize the twins was his son! He commanded to search for Sita, and when she was faced to the King, she has proved her innocence. Sita was returned to earth, and by the grace of being so happy, Rama decided to go back to Vishnu.
Conflict: Ravana hostages Sita.
Theme: The Power of Love is the greatest Power of all!
